Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read, navigate and use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on. We build it with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target.

What this site does

  • Structure

Every page declares its language, has one main heading, and places its content in navigation, main and footer landmarks so screen-reader users can move by region.

  • Keyboard

A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing keyboard focus reaches. Links, buttons, form fields and the question lists all work from the keyboard and show a visible focus outline.

  • Motion

Scroll and entrance animations are decorative. They switch off entirely when your device is set to reduce motion, and no content depends on them.

  • Images

Product illustrations carry a text description, and purely decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.

  • Forms

Every field has a visible label, and error messages say what went wrong and what to do next.

I'd Ship That

I'd Ship That publishes its own accessibility statement, covering the standard it is held to, what has been done and where work continues.
